14.Eng 102

I hope that we students will learn much more than Eng 101 in Eng 102.Eng 101 was good but I think that as Sonja said too 102 is better for being more detailed and allowing us to do academical research.

13.New Year

Happy new year all! It has been 2010, 10 years passed since the millenium although we think like ıt has not.I hope that starting with this year world becomes a place with more peace and more respect to nature, because we are destroying our earth so much.

12. In-class essay exam

I think that questions were easy to answer because we discussed about them much.The relation between female-male in the films and the texts , comparing Turkey with U.S was a good idea. Killing Us Softly was the most effective source to right upon being marked I think.

11.Last Class

The Semesters last class was yesterday and we had an interesting class by our 2 presentations and several films different from last year.I think that Eng is becoming nicer every year.

10. The Truman Show

For the film presentation , I watched "The Truman Show" for the first time and I said to myself "Why have not I watched this movie before?" It was both funny and message delivering film by making us think about the increasing role of media in our lives. Jim Carrey makes the film better by his enthusiasm.I do not know if media will put hundreds of cameras looking at our private life but I know that media' s effect is increasing by time.
